BASIC PISTOL CLASS

What is the basic pistol class.

This basic handgun course introduces the participant to the Fundamentals of Firearms Safety, along with the skills necessary to properly handle semi-automatic pistol or revolver.  The hands-on training will start with basic handgun safety and operation, Then we will move on to the fundamentals,  Proper Stance and Grip, Sight Alignment, Sight Picture,  Trigger Control, Proper Firearm Loading, and Firearm Malfunction solutions, then basic Firearm care.


What You Need to Bring.

Gun: any caliber double-action semi-auto pistol or revolver.  Your gun must be in good working order. 150 rounds of ammunition Protection: Prescription glasses or shooting glasses are required, along with hearing protection.


ADVANCED PISTOL CLASS

What is the advanced pistol class?

 Advanced level of instruction, You will review the tactics and techniques previously learned, and add new firing positions such as kneeling, sitting and prone. You will learn how to think as you fire from cover, think as you fire while moving, shoot-move-shoot, fire at moving targets, and you will be challenged with problem solving situations, such as firing from left and right barricades. We will instruct you in double taps, hammer-pairs, Speed-Rock, and Instinct shooting, Targets include, but are not limited to, life-size silhouettes, We will cover tactical responses to self-defense situations at home, at work, in a hotel, and in other public areas. Taught are tactical principles, offensive and defensive plans, environmental awareness and tactical prevention, establishment of safe zones in active shooter situations, malfunction drills, half-turns and full turns, fade and reverse, and close quarter battle (CQB), and you will be challenged with problem solving situations, such as firing One handed while encumbered . You will shoot approx. 200 rounds


What You Need to Bring.

Gun: any caliber double-action semi-auto pistol or revolver.  Your gun must be in good working order. 200 rounds of ammunition and a holster.  Protection: Prescription glasses or shooting glasses are required, along with hearing protection.
